Walk cycle & Run Cycle

               3D ANIMATION
         Walk cycle, Run Cycle
Objective:
To animate  walk cycle  and Run Cycle of a  3d rigged model .

Techniques used:
Modeling.
Key frames.
Animate.

Tool Used:
Maya

Challenges:
Setting the in-betweens in the animation.

After importing the rig model into the Maya viewport, the next step involved creating a project window and configuring the project settings to ensure proper organization of related files. This was done to streamline the workflow and facilitate efficient management of project assets.
Following the setup, a thorough examination of the model's controls was conducted to ensure their proper functionality. Once the verification process was completed, the focus shifted to the animation phase, where the model began to be animated to bring it to life.
To initiate the animation process, a crucial first step involved obtaining a reference for the desired motion. This reference was utilized not only for animating keyframes but also for crafting seamless in-between frames, contributing to the creation of a fluid and realistic walk cycle for the model.
Using this reference i have animated my model .Here the key frames are 1,4,7,10,13,16,19,22,25 all these frames are the main keyframes and the remaining are the In- betweens.

Keyframes:
Keyframes serve as pivotal snapshots, capturing the essential poses or positions of a character or object at specific instances within an animation. In contrast, in-betweens play a vital role by bridging the gaps between these keyframes, fostering smooth and realistic motion. Their function lies in seamlessly connecting the significant key poses to enhance the overall fluidity of the animation.

In-Betweens:
A crucial aspect to observe in animation is the temporal spacing between two frames, as shorter intervals result in a faster-paced animation, while greater distances contribute to a slower and more deliberate animated sequence.
n the same way we use key frames and in-betweens for run cycle.
The reference image for the run cycle is given below.
while doing the run cycle we have key frames as well as in-betweens. The keyframes are 1,4,7and in-betweens are2,3,5,6.
